A surf trip around the coast of Britain
The Plan
A few years ago, I spent several months living in a van, surfing my way round Britain. I started in the Hebrides and headed clockwise, ending in North Wales fourteen months later. For a map, click around here.
Top sessions included Bru, Thurso, Tynemouth, Sandsend, and Bantham. And three idyllic weeks in Goa. For some chilly swimming, click on Norway.

Hrumph. A tour of northern seaside towns in autumn sounds like less fun. Around Britain in 80 teashops? Doesn't have quite the same ring about it.
